Cardiff City have (finally) officially announced the signing of former Rangers forward Kenny Miller who has joined for a fee of £900k from Bursaspor in Turkey.

City had originally planned to announce the signing on Friday morning, but were held up by some missing paperwork required to apply for International clearance for the transfer. The delay continued over the weekend, and still no formal announcement had been made until Tuesday afternoon but the CCFC official site now confirms Miller is a Bluebirds player.

Miller is an experienced player, with an impressive goalscoring record. He was reportedly unhappy in Eastern Europe and we beat off competition from Rangers to secure his signature though the SPL giants were unwilling to meet his valuation.

He looks certain to lead the line for City when fit, and will compete with Parkin, and new recruits Joe Mason and Rudy Gestade.Another striker joining remains a possibility, but Miller will certainly add quality and experience in attack and the Scottish captain is our biggest name signing so far.

Welcome to Cardiff City Kenny Miller !
