Cardiff City Doomed To Fail In New Boyd Bid

Cardiff City have already had one bid, which would have broken our transfer record, rejected by Rangers for their Scottish forward Kris Boyd.

The Bluebirds have cash from the sale of Aaron Ramsey to Arsenal and are preparing to make another offer for one of their top transfer targets.

However, we can’t go much higher while Rangers are reluctant to sell and the player himself wants to remain at Ibrox! There has been an influx of strikers to Rangers meaning Boyd could be allowed to leave but Cardiff would seem to be slipping down his list of options following interest from other clubs.

Hull City, Birmingham City are strongly interested and both have more cash than us while other clubs are keeping an eye on his position. Add to that the fact that our own striker Steve Thompson advised Boyd to aim higher than us (see here for details) and it looks remote possibility at best.

Other striking targets include Michael Chopra of Sunderland and Manchester City’s Chedwyn Evans.

I think you should give up on Boyd, and try and sign someone from Arsenal. They could hardly say no as they have just taken one of your most prized possessions?!
