The court hearing that has been hanging over the head of Cardiff City Football Club in recent weeks has been postponed and re-scheduled for a later date, club Chairman Peter Ridsdale has confirmed.

Cardiff City are facing legal action from Langston’s over the non-repayment of loan notes, while the club insist they have previously re-negotiated the payments which are now not due until 2016.

The date of the hearing was set to be 21st November but the new date is as yet unknown. The club has been shelling out money in legal fees, money that could have been spent on new players, and will not welcome another delay.

Ridsdale told BBC Sport:

‘If Langston, or those people representing Langston, were to do the right thing and sit down and talk to us and resolve this, we wouldn’t be having any of this nonsense anyway.’
