Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has been nominated for the manager of the month award for October and will compete with Paul Jewell (Derby County), Simon Davey (Barnsley) and Alex McLeish (Birmingham City) for the gong.
Prior to the defeat at home to Wolves, Cardiff City were the most in-form team in the league (see here) and had enjoyed back to back wins against Blackpool and Nottingham Forest.
Throughout October City picked up three wins and draws against Watford and Blackpool – two games they will feel should have been victories.
