Cardiff City striker Warren Feeney has been shipped out on loan to Dundee United for the season and looks to have no future at the club having flopped miuserably during his time in South Wales.

Initially brought to the club as cover for Michael Chopra, Feeney has not scored for the first team and has missed one or two great chances as he looked bereft of confidence and contributed little. He is a popular player at Tannadice, with his work-rate impressing as well as bagging some useful goals.

However, the International stage has provided a platform for Feeney and he has enjoyed a brelliant week with his fellow Northern Irishmen.

Firstly, Feeney opened the scoring for N.Ireland during a 3-2 win over Poland over the weekend. He then followed up by getting the only goal of the game to beat Slovenia 1-0 and sent the Iron top of their World Cup Qualifying Group.

Whilst Feeney has shown little as a Bluebird, he is enjoying his time in the SPL and impressing on the International stage. Perhaps we can ask for some money for him after all if, as looks likely, he moves on over the summer.
