81 years ago today, St George’s Day, 23rd April 1927 was the day Cardiff City scored a 1-0 win over Arsenal to win the FA Cup – the only time the cup has left England.

Today is the 81st anniversary of that famous occasion when Hughie Ferguson’s shot was helped over the line by Arsenal’s Welsh goalkeeper Dan Lewis.

In just over three weeks time, Cardiff City will return to Wembley to play in the FA Cup final once more, the first time they have reached this stage since 1927.

This time, Premiership side Portsmouth are the opposition and the Bluebirds will be desperate to get the win and secure to cup once more.
