Cardiff City do face some selection issues for this evening`s clash with Reading after on-loan forward Kelvin Etuhu was ruled out by ankle ligament damage and joins fellow attacker Ross McCormack (hamstring) on the sidelines, Ross will be back in another couple of weeks.

Kevin McNaughton is making progress but remains 3 weeks away from a return meaning that Dave Jones must choose between Capaldi / Kennedy on the left and Quinn / Matthews on the right side of defence.

In midfield, Peter Whittingham could be dropped allowing Solomon Taiwo or Stephen McPhail to come in while youngster Josh Magennis looks set to be the only recognised striking cover on the bench.

Reading have a host of players coming back from injury and who may be in contention for a return. Ivar Ingimarsson, Brynjar Gunnarsson, Shane Long and Darren O’Dea are all hoping for a return.

Former Cardiff City winger Jobi McAnuff will not play against the Bluebirds having just joined from Watford – he is ruled out with a back injury while Chris Armstrong will miss out with a knee problem.

Polish striker Grzegorz Rasiak is pushing for a full start for the Royals after joining and making his debut from the bench.
