Cardiff City are known to have to ship players out before getting anyone else in – thats understandable if a little frustrating especially when we are also told that Dave Jones knows exactly who he wants but his hands are tied until someone is sold.

Well, Paul Parry was this week sold to Preston after a week of confusion over his future. A fee of ~£300k was agreed between the clubs and Parry joined PNE on a 3 year deal.

Trouble is, we are now left weaker and have heard not an inkling about any potential replacement coming in. Our midfield has long been considered a problem but is now a man lighter than last season with the new season starting tomorrow.

If is absolutely certain that Paul Parry would have featured against Scunthorpe United – either starting on the left wing or as a subsitute able to cover both flanks or operate up-front.

We were led to believe that any replacement was already lined up and could be brought in swiftly – a team with serious promotion aspirations cannot function this way and bend to the will of other clubs. There has been no movement or speculation regarding incoming players in recent weeks – an observation that will only add to fans frustration and apathy.
