Cardiff City currently have a Nigerian International on trial, with a view to a permanent deal. Wilson Oruma, a 31 year old midfielder, left previous club Marseille at the end of last season and has good pedigree in the French leagues.
Oruma played the majority of last night’s 2-2 draw against Chasetown and scored the equaliser with an exquisite shot from outside the area.
Dave Jones told the Echo:
“We`ll give Wilson time to show what he can do, but we know he is a quality player,”
“He has been voted African footballer of the year twice – and he has spent the last four seasons at Marseille.”
“He hasn`t played at all during the build-up to this season and hasn`t been through a full pre-season training programme.”
