Cardiff City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Sean Morrison in the three one victory over Norwich City at the weekend at the Cardiff City Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Morrison was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Another appearance in the Team of the Week for Morrison, who stood strong at the heart of the Cardiff defence, and proved a nuisance at the other end too. Tough in the tackle to stem the Norwich`s threat, he also won a penalty as the Bluebirds closed the gap at the top to one point.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Morrison for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Mark Oxley (Southend United), Ben Davies (Preston North End), Sean Morrison (Cardiff City), Mark Little (Bolton Wanderers), Sergi Canos (Brentford), George Thorne (Derby County), Callum Connolly (Ipswich Town), Mo Barrow (Reading), Lee Gregory (Millwall), Gary Hooper (Sheffield Wednesday), Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers).

Manager – Lee Johnson (Bristol City).
