Cardiff City manager Dave Jones was satisfied with the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest but remained focussed on the job in hand. He told BBC Sport:

“It was a hard-earned battle but a well-earned three points.
We don’t count how many consecutive games we’ve won, our only concern was coming off the back of three really tough games in six days.”

‘The lads have a great will and tenacity about them which comes from winning games and keeping clean sheets.”

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies bemoaned the manner of conceding the first goal but paid tribute to the Bluebirds:

‘Their first-half goal came out of the blue and was scored from a deflection but we never looked energetic and certain players didn’t compete.”

‘Great credit to Cardiff, we were playing against a side that has been together for three or four years and they have a vastly experienced squad.’
