Cardiff City will be forced to make one change to the side that defeated Burnley in the midweek Carling Cup clash with Anthony Gerrard picking up a 5th booking and 1-match suspension. Big defender Ben Turner would almost certainly have returned for the League game anyway and will partner Mark Hudson.
City will likely stick with the 5-man midfield of Conway, Cowie, Whittingham, McPhail and Gunnarsson meaning Solvakian Filip Kiss must be content with a place on the bench.
In attack, City have a doubt over Kenny Miller who has needed 20 stitches in a cut to his head sustained last weekend. He is rated as 50/50 but may require a protective headguard if he does feature. Young prospect Joe Mason would continue in the Scotsman’s absence with fellow striker Rudy Gestede out with a hamstring problem.
eeds United could again be without dangerous wideman Robert Snodgrass who has struggled with a back injury. He is a highly influential player fir the whites, and scored a fine curling effort during the match between these sides at CCS last season. He has returned to action, and played for the full 90 minutes in midweek – though could be rested today.
Additionally, former CCFC target Andy Lonergan will miss out with a hand injury meaning the experienced Paul Rachubka will continue in goal for Leeds.
