Cardiff City`s cultured midfielder has enjoyed a mixed week. After joining up with the Welsh squad he participated in the 2-0 defeat to Germany before playing a starring role in the 5-2 demolition of Slovakia – an excellent result for Wales.

During the victory, Ledley made two excellent assists, supplying first Eastwood then Craig Bellamy with good balls. However, Ledley took a blow to his leg early in the second half and was forced off. A stretcher was called for the Cardiff-born midfielder but he was able to hobble off unaided and has reported back to the Cardiff City medical staff.

Ledley has started every league game for City this term and is an influential player in the Bluebirds` midfield, but should Saturday`s encounter with Plymouth Argyle come too soon for the youngster, Paul Parry and Peter Whittingham are on standby and could fill in.

Both players started the last game on the bench although both were instrumental in turning the game round and each has scored in the league this season to leave boss Dave Jones with a difficult, but nice selection dilemma.
