OK so the song may need a bit of work, and the shirt printers who charge by the letter are rubbing their hands gleefully as Cardiff City have announced the loan acquisition of Coventry City goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopolous until the end of the season.

Dimi joins as cover after knee surgery has ruled out current number 1 Peter Enckelman leaving only on-loan Man Utd youngster Tom Heaton and the untester Erwin Sak. Dimi has not been playing at the Sky Blues with Kieron Westwood their first choice.

Nevertheless, Dimi has been getting first team football of late, with our frinds from the West where he made a big impression during a recent loan spell. One especially impressive performance came in the FA Cup against holders Portsmouth and the Jacks tried to land him on a permanent deal in the transfer window.

Konstantopolous was a former target of ours after Neil Alexander left, but we opted for Ross Turnbull on loan from Middlesborough. Dimi will now challenge Tom Heaton for the goalkeeping position.
