Ipswich Town boss Roy Keane is trying to land Cardiff City veteran Mark Kennedy on loan – in an attempt to bolster his backline and add experience in the Tractor Boys squad.

Cardiff City cannot afford to lose anybody with the lack of depth currently at the squad. Kennedy has done OK since modifying his game and adapting to a new position at left-back. He is unadventurous in attack, but solid defensively and has a culture left foot.

However, Cardiff City have crippling debts and would dearly love to get players off the wage bill. If Kennedy were to leave, Kevin McNaughton would remain the best left-back option, with Tony Capaldi next in line. Miguel Comminges can operate on the left while Paul Quinn, Adam Matthews and Darcy Blake are options on the right.
