Blues striker Andy Campbell is now a free agent after having his contract terminated by mutual consent.

Campbell has just returned to the club after a loan spell at Oxford United and an earlier spell at Doncaster Rovers has signed an agreement that gives him a pay off deal on his current contract.

Cambell came to Ninian Park in March 2002 for a fee of £950,000 and will always be remembered for his play off winning goal against Queens Park Rangers.

Newport County are said to be interested in acquiring his services, but still only 26, Campbell feels he still has something to offer a league club.

Speaking to the South Wales Echo he said: ?I have confidence in my own ability and that I still have a lot to offer a Football League club.

‘I’m certainly not finished yet. I’m still only 26.?
