Cardiff City are sweating on the fitness of Jay Bothroyd ahead of the trip, the striker injured a knee against Arsenal but is rated 50:50 and the Bluebirds are desperately hoping he will be fit. Eddie Johnson will get the nod if Bothroyd fails his fitness test.

Peter Whittingham remains out with a hamstring problem meaning both Parry and Burke, largely ineffective against Arsenal, will continue.

Capaldi and Scimeca have now been in full training for a few weeks and are ready for first team action though neither looks likely to break into the first team.

For Coventry City, key defender Elliot Ward is out with a knee injury while Aron Gunnarsson will also miss out with a hip problem.

Chelsea on-loan midfielder Lee Saywer is a promising teenager and could feature for the Sky Blues.
