Cardiff City’s French forward Luigi Glombard has joined Coca-Cola League 1 side Oldham until the end of the season.

Glombard had only recently returned to the Bluebirds after a loan spell at Leicester where boss Rob Kelly praised his attitude and resolved to monitor Glombard’s transfer situation. In a recent appearance for the reserves, Luigi was named man of the match and scored a well-taken goal to beat Bristol Rovers 1-0.

Despite the injury to top-scorer Michael Chopra, Glombard was unlikely to get a look-in at Ninian Park and that wasa confirmed by the loan capture of Warren Feeney from Luton Town yesterday.

Oldham are pushing hard for promotion to the Championship and will be hoping that Glombard can maintain their run and see them to the end of the season, he has shown glimpses of promise in his rare appearances for City and will hope to take this opportunity.

Good Luck Luigi.
