A goal from youngster Mark Jones was enough for the Bluebirds reserves to beat their South Wales counterparts yesterday.

A decent run from on-loan Chelsea midfielder James Simmonds and an intelligent dummy from Curtis McDonald saw Mark Jones put away his chance.

The Bluebirds put out a very inexperieced side whereas the Swans included some first team squad players but Chris Gunter, Darcy Blake and co came through and could have won by more.

Two Bluebirds players played against us in the game, young striker Scott McCoubrey (currently on trial with the Swans) and CCFC 3rd choice keeper Mark Howard who has joined the League one outfit on loan as cover to Willie Gueret.
