Charlie Miller has not earned himself a Cardiff City contract and the Bluebirds will look elsewhere in January to bolster their midfield ranks.

The 30 year old former Rangers and Brann Bergen player had been on trial at Cardiff but training with the side was hampered by the lack of adequate training pitches and Miller was reduced to one friendly match to prove his worth.

Cardiff are keen to strengthen their creativity in central midfield with Joe Ledley and Willo Flood having played out of position recently to cover for injuries and suspension to Stephen McPhail.

Charlie Miller will not be joining Cardiff City and is considering trials with a number of other Championship and Coca-Cola league 1 sides.
