ALEXANDER: 7
Cool and efficient, kept his defenders at a high line and on hand when needed. Kicking much improved also and looks more confident.

CHAMBERS: 6
Given a tough time second half but solid and efficient performance and stuck to his task well.

McNAUGHTON: 7
Looking back to his best. Cool and determined, nothing came down the City left and his reading of the game was superb.

LOOVENS: 8
Seems to improve all the time, a massive performance as he cleared time and time again. So solid and set up the goal too. MOM

PURSE: 8
Put himself on the line and was like a rock. Unflappable and some timely clearances. A big big performance from the captain as he was battered throughout but stood up to the challenge.

PARRY: 6
Lively until withdrawn. Looked to take on his man and linked well with Chambers. Should be back in action almost straight away.

LEDLEY: 6
Much improved performance. Lacked some confidence in attack but solid defensively and didn`t shy away from the aggression.

SCIMECA: 7
Well taken goal and effective all round performance. Was unable to drive forward much but always an option and stubborn in defense.

McPHAIL: 6
Not his sort of game with no time to pass but got stuck in and linked play well. Sometimes looked to offload to quickly rather than take responsibility himself but worked hard.

CAMPBELL: 5
Started very slowly and finished tamely but worked hard and was heavily involved in the middle period. Not a natural target man and a below-par aerial performance.

CHOPRA: 7
Tireless team play and deserved a goal. Closed down the defense so quickly and stood up to his physical assault manfully.

Subs:

FLOOD (for Parry 34): 7
Linked really well and showed excellent touches when driving forward. Missed some clearances from high balls but surely pushing for a start.

JOHNSON (for Campbell 75):
Kept it simple in attack and was extremely useful defending set pieces. Held the ball up better than Campbell and posed more of a threat as defenders tired.
