Cardiff City have on-field issues to go with the off-field uncertainty with injuries still hitting Dave Jones’ plans.

Since Tuesday, the Bluebirds have lost Joe Ledley to a much needed hip operation despite the Welshman’s impressive form of late. Additionally, skipper Mark Hudson is ruled out with ankle surgery so Gabor Gyepes will step in.

Ledley’s place in the side may be filled by Darcy Blake, or by shifting Peter Whittingham infield and allowing Chris Burke to return. Surely McCormack must start after 3 goals in 2 games from midfield.

Kevin McNaughton (knee), Sol Taiwo (virus) and Aaron Wildig (back) could all feature after returning to fitness but Stephen McPhail will be missing as he continues his re-habilitation following cancer treatment. Youngster Josh Magennis remains sidelined with a broken leg.

For Doncaster, Dean Shiels has an ankle problem and faces a late fitness test. However, Brian Stock, John Oster and James Hayter are all expected to be available.

Key defender Jason Shackell has a groin problem and looks set to miss out.
