Cardiff City manager Dave Jones was delighted with his side’s effort in the league season finale. The result was a welcome boost, aswell as the return to action of key frontman Paul Parry. Jones told BBC Sport:

‘I thought they went out and did their job superbly and got their rewards for it.’

‘If we can do that in the FA Cup final, I’ll be very happy.’

‘It was nice to see Paul Parry back because he gave us a different dimension.’

Barnsley boss Simon Davey chose not to focus on the result or performance but relected on a successful season for the Tykes:

‘We can look at wins over Liverpool and Chelsea as well as being very competitive in the league.’

‘The Championship is a fantastic division to be in and that is why we have worked so hard to stay there.’

‘It’s been a long, hard season.’
