Cardiff City goalkeeper Peter Enckelman has been ruled out for around two months after undergoing knee surgery in the past few days.
Encks started the season as second choice behind on loan Manchester United youngster Tom Heaton but the Finn regained his place and made himself integral to a miserly defence – he had been playing some solid football and seen an improvement in confidence and kicking of late.
