Cardiff City`s third choice goalkeeper David Forde has joined league 1 side Bournemouth on an emergency 1 week loan. Forde is behing Enckelman and Oakes at Ninian Park and the Bluebirds have been desperately trying to secure loan action for him. Several possible moves have fallen through including a bizarre ruling dis-allowing him from joining Dundee United having played in Wales and England in the same season.

Bournemouth look likely candidates for relegation from league 1 but a 2-0 victory over Hartlepool United (including ex-Cardiff man Willie Boland) kept their hopes alive. During that match, keeper Gareth Stewart suffered a fractured ankle that may keep him out until the end of the season.

With The Cherries suffering well publicised financial difficulties, Cardiff City will continue to pay Forde`s wages but a change of scenario and experience will be of more use to his development than training at Cardiff City where he is unlikely to feature again this season.
