Cardiff City FC have felt it necessay to confirm that the much anticipated FA Cup 4th round clash against Arsenal will definately be held at Ninian Park after several sources in the press suggested the club would try to switch the game to the Millenium Stadium.

A switch was never likely to happen with the huge policing and hiring costs accrued with the added loss of atmosphere compared to Ninian Park.

Indeed, Arsenal provide fitting opposition for what could be the last FA Cup game ever played at Ninian Park and who will forget the past triumphs there including Nathan Blake’s scorcher against Manchester City. Or Scott Young’s unstoppable winner against then premiership leaders Leeds United.

The club has yet to announce ticketing arrangements for the Arsenal game where interest is sure to be massive. Current ambassadors and possibly those who attended the Reading game will be among those sure to have first refusal on tickets.
