Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has lost out on winning the manager of the month award for the Championship in January 2009. City have been impressive of late and Dave Jones was nominated for the accolade only to lose out to?.Roberto Martinez of Swansea City!
The Jacks have also been in good form and after a run of successive draws have discovered how to turn those into wins. Although still outside the play-off positions, the Swans are picking up points and momentum culminating in the award for Martinez.
Dave Jones is not the kind of manager who sets too much store by these awards, he has already picked up one this season and will be concentrating on Saturday`s trip to lowly Charlton Athletic.
