Cardiff City manager Dave Jones was upbeat after watching his side brush off Wolverhampton Wanderers with a dominant performance. He told BBC Sport:
‘Overall, it was well deserved. I thought we started bright, made them make mistakes in the first couple of minutes.’
‘We continued that right through the game and we had to because it was a tough tie for us.’
Wolves’ manager Mick McCardthy was bitterly disappointed and stated his embarrassment at the performance by his side:
‘That’s three games out of four we’ve been a goal down within a minute or two and we didn’t recover and it was an awful performance by us.’
‘We haven’t had a worse performance than that all season. I was embarrased by that today and I’ve said that to the players. Any stick the fans are giving out to us is thoroughly deserved today.’
