Cardiff City manager Dave Jones was understandably elated after his side’s FA Cup semi-final triumph. He told BBC Sport:
‘With everything that has gone on off the pitch it’s a great credit to my players. This ranks up there with anything I’ve achieved. It’s something special.’

Barnsley manager Simon Davey was disappoin ted but took great positives from the game and the cup run:
‘We acquitted ourselves well and the players deserve credit. I don’t think any of them froze on the day, we just fell short.’
‘They scored early and we had 80 minutes to get back in the game. We had chances but it wasn’t to be.’
