Cardiff City’s left back Tony Capaldi should be fit to take his place in the Bluebirds side to face Coventry City on Saturday.

The Northern Irish International was due to take part in a friendly for his country against Leichtenstein on Wednesday night. However, he received a dead leg and bruised hip during Cardiff’s 2-0 win at QPR on the weekend and was withdrawn after an hour.

Whilst doubtful for the midweek game, Capaldi could make an appearance and will almost certainly be ready for club action this weekend.

Should he not be ready, Joe Ledley would fit in at left-back and either Peter Whittingham or Paul Parry could take the left wing position, an example of the added quality in depth we have as a squad this season.

Kevin McNaughton has a hamstring injury and could be out for 6 weeks.
