Cardiff City have no new injury problems for tonight’s clash against Bristol City while several players will be hoping for a return.

The likes of Paul Quinn, Mark Kennedy and Jay Bothroyd have been suffering with a virus, but are fit to play. Sol Taiwo is out however.

Aaron Wildig (back), Gavin Rae (hamstring) and Kevin McNaughton (knee) all face fitness tests but Adam Matthews is back in contention and could start in place of Quinn.

Darcy Blake would be the fall guy is Rae is passed fit, but the Welshman impressed on Saturday and could keep his place in the centre. Chris Burke was a lively substitute on Saturday and appears to have fully recovered from his rib injury meaning a tough call for Dave Jones on whether to include goalscorer Ross McCormack.

Etuhu (ankle), McPhail (lymphoma) and Magennis (broken leg) are all ruled out for the Bluebirds.

Bristol City have a number of options to change their side with the acquisition of winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Patrick Agyemang. Campbell-Ryce could well start with Danny Haynes set to miss out through injury (hamstring).

Agyemeng must compete with the likes of Maynard, Clarkson, Saborio and Akinde so will likely feature from the bench.

Welsh defender Christian Ribeiro has been sent on loan to Colchester United so is not available. The same goes for Tristan Plummer on loan at Gillingham.
