Cardiff City are expected to reScottish striker Ross McCormack to the starting XI after he recovered from a groin strain and felt no ill effects following a 25 minute substitutes appearance against Brsitol City on Saturday.

Gavin Rae also came through the game OK and can again line-up in midfield despite suffering a chipped bone in his knee.

Mark Kennedy (groin), Riccy Scimeca (ankle), Darcy Blake (burst blood vessel, eye) and Tony Capaldi are all still out for Cardiff City leaving the Bluebirds short of options.

For Barnsley, tricky winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce could make his first appearance but on-loan Blackburn Rovers striker Maceo Rigters is not yet fit.

Hugo Roberto Colace is available after receiving FA clearance to play in this country – he made his debut on Saturday and will again line-up against the Bluebirds.

Canadian frontman Iain Hume has endured a tiring week on International duty – he was forced off at half-time on Saturday so Cardiff City’s Wembley friend Kayode Odejayi may get a chance to lay some demons to rest.
