Zaha Has Ronaldo Potential

Being put in the same bracket as Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t a bad thing is it, but it could also see added pressure grow on Wilfried Zaha.

Zaha the next Ronaldo?

If he can be a fraction as successful during his loan with us that’ll do me and OGS told the Daily Mirror that he knows how hard Ronaldo worked when he was a team mate of his at Manchester United and he’s challenged Zaha to do the same.

The raw talent is something that the winger definitely had, commitment and dedication is needed and if he shows this he can go far.

‘He is one of the best I have seen with the ball.

‘He has quick feet and is brave like Cristiano and wants to go forward but he has got to make a decision about how good does he want to be and how much does he love this game. He can grow up to become a proper player like Ronaldo if he wants.

‘I have never seen anyone work as hard as Ronaldo. Before training, after training, he was an exceptionally dedicated man and proved to everyone what dedication gets you.’

Comparing Zaha to Ronaldo might be a tad unfair but OGS went on to say that he’s happy to make such comparisons.

The wingers immediate aim is to inspire us to Premier League survival, and his debut as a second half sub on Saturday wasn’t a bad way to start, but in the long term he had been backed to be a success at Old Trafford and in particular if he has the dedication that the Portuguese superstar did to become the very best.

Personally think Moyes is mad for deeming him not ready without even giving him the chance to prove him wrong. With all of Valencia, Young and Nani off-form/not good enough there would’ve been no harm in seeing if he can offer more than the persistent squandering of possession via over-hit crosses the others are guilty of.

I hope he serves you well and makes a serious case for himself so when he returns he’s truly in contention for the first team and we don’t have to endure the consistently inconsistent performances from the wingers, outside of Januzaj, we’ve already got.

I’m still purplexed why Manchester United haven’t given him a chance, I can’t think that he’s any worse than most of the wingers at the club? It’s our gain for the rest of the season anyway.

Must admit, with how United’s form has been…not given him a proper run given everything he’d want to prove has been strange. Our benefit anyway I hope, he’ll get it here. Was a big move for him to make for that fee, does make you wonder if he’d have made it had he know Alex was off?

We’ll take good care of him No7!

Odd that he was good enough for Fergie but not Moyes. Why was he allowed to sign if Moyes wouldn’t use him and I doubt he would’ve signed if he knew he wouldn’t feature this season.
