World Cup Star on trial

Cardiff City currently have former Portsmouth midfielder Aliou Cisse on trial. Cisse is a combative and versatile player, 30, but is most effective in a defensive midfield role. The Senegalese international captained his side in the 2002 World Cup especially impressing against the then World Champions France.
Cisse was released by Pompey over the summer and is therefore eligible to join permanently outside of the transfer window. Cisse would be unlikely to displace Riccy Scimeca from his place but would be useful as cover in our current squad. With Jeff Whitley out on loan, Nick McKoy and Willo flood are the only options in central midfield. Other fringe playes may be released on loan or extra funds released on the back of higher-than-expected crowds at Ninian Park.

Jones has made no decision on Cisse yet but said: ‘Aliou will continue to train with us, He’s fit and ready, but no decisions on the future have been made yet.’

would be a great signing for you I think ! … add some steel into the middle and help your squad through to carry on the momentum that you have already !

Aliou always gives 100%, and has been known to make a few crunching tackles when required!
