Will Joe Stay Or Will He Go ?

Cardiff City have a glorious opportunity for success tomorrow when they face Middlesbrough in the FA Cup quarter final.

However, one of the most consistent and impressive players for City this season is rated as doubtful for the clash in talented midfielder Joe Ledley.

The Welshman picked up a small tear to his hamstring during a 0-0 draw with Coventry City recently. It was thought that Ledley would be back either midweek or for Sunday’s clash with Boro but it now seems the Bluebirds’ medical staff are unwilling to risk further aggrevating the injury.

If Ledley were 100% fit he would be a major asset to Cardiff, being one of the players with true Premiership potential but hamstring injuries are notoriously easy to aggrevate and could set Ledley back another month.

At the monment, Ledley is unlikely to feature – his place will be taken by Aaron Ramsey who has been in good form also but Jones will give a late chance to Ledley to prove his fitness. The manager thinks the game has come 3-4 days too early for Ledley, but has also paid tribute to his resilience and ability to recover quickly.

Either way it will be an underdog Cardiff City side that takes the field but they have no reason to fear Middlesbrough and have a decent chance of pulling off a draw. We can but hope!
