Cardiff’s Championship season continued with another draw at Portman Road against Ipswich on Saturday.

Once again Cardiff played out a draw, and pretty ‘drab’ one at that, with a point collected at Ipswich in a nil-nil draw with Bluebirds ‘keeper Marshall again to thank for the latest cleansheet.

Ipswich threatened the lead when Murphy had a header, which Marshall pulled off a fine save to keep out as he turned this onto the post. The Scottish ‘keeper had to save again, and spare a teammate an own goal, when Morrison’s attempt at a clearance almost ended up in his own net.

Murphy again threatened in the second half for Ipswich, who have claimed just five-points from the last seven-matches, with another header with the best chance for the Tractor Boys coming to Maitland-Niles but he volleyed over.

The best Cardiff could manage saw Ameobi, fresh from his amazing miss against Bristol City, go close with Noone off the bench but unable to take a couple of chances as another Bluebirds draw was played out with a fourth successive cleansheet cause for delight.

However, with just two-goals in the last five and only 15-goals in 14-matches this season in general there’s not much to be that cheerful about in an attacking sense….

Cardiff’s unbeaten run might have been extended to six-matches now but with little, to no, attacking threat there’s not much to suggests the goals will flow anytime soon with the wins not looking that likely either!
