Cardiff’s Championship season continued with a draw at the Amex Stadium against Brighton on Saturday.

There wasn’t too much offered by Cardiff, with the Bluebirds certainly the happier of the two to get a point despite Mason’s opener being cancelled out by Stephens, from this one-one draw against a Brighton side that remains unbeaten and at the top of the Championship table.

It couldn’t have been a better start for Cardiff with Mason (5) on hand to tap in from close range after a Malone cross on five-minutes to put the Bluebirds ahead.

Cardiff did have Moore to thank though, the ‘keeper filling in for Marshall in his continued absence, as he pulled off a double save to deny Brighton duo Baldock and Rosenior.

Brighton had other chances in the opening half before finally drawing level when Stephens (38) volleyed past Moore before the break to see the sides go in level at one-all.

If it wasn’t for Brighton defender Dunk, with him clearing off line to deny Ameobi, Cardiff would have been ahead again in the second half but that’s about all the Bluebirds were able to offer.

The home side seemed the more likely winners with Baldock heading wide and with Moore saving again to keep out a March drive with Cardiff surviving an injury-time scare when Manu and Greer failed to convert for Brighton in this draw.

It’s a point that Cardiff will take, going into this game Brighton had won every home game in the Championship lets not forget!
