Again it was tight at the back for Cardiff but with goals scored too, which have been rare this season, a two-nil win was secured over Reading in the Championship on Saturday.

The first goal scored for Cardiff in a month came when the fit again Jones headed the Bluebirds into the lead just before half time with the points secured when, like buses – you wait for ages for one and then along come two, Connolly also scored with a header from a corner in the second half.
