Cardiff have given a trial to Tarek El Taib. El-Taib is the current Libya captain, and captained them through the 2006 African Cup Of Nations.
The 29-year-old midfielder, joined Turkish Club side for a fee of over $1 million but was released after two years.
Another triallist currently being looked at by the City management is French forward Guillame Plessis from Nantes. Plessis has previously been on trial at Everton.

Looks more forward thinking than most folks would expect from cardiff. Aiming for the playoffs is looking a little more realistic now.
El Taib has returned home following his trial spell and has not accompanied the squad on tour. Dave Jones has indicated he may yet offer a deal to the Libyan.
