Ben Turner’s proposed loan exit is now a done deal.

The Official Website has, which was the case on Wednesday, confirmed Turner has completed a loan exit from Cardiff and will spend the remainder of 2015 away from the Cardiff City Stadium.

A return to the club Turner started his career with, as had been highly expected anyway, will see the Cardiff defender on loan with Coventry until 3rd January, which following this agreement he said.

‘It’s been the toughest period of my career to date.

‘I’ve had a bad 12 months with my left ankle. But I’m very happy with the surgery I’ve had, it’s been a full on fix and I feel great. I want to show everyone I’m fit and ready to take my career in right direction again.’

It goes without saying, as the club said, we’ll all wish Turner well during this loan return to the Ricoh Arena as he looks to add to the appearances he made for Coventry to start his career but this loan spell with the Sky Blues is designed with Cardiff’s future interests in mind!

Turner needs regular first-team football to test him and get him up to speed again, when he returns in the New Year, which would be anticipated he will when this short-term loan ends, he’ll be expected to challenge for a place in Russell Slade’s starting XI again.

Without question, but for injuries in the past 12-months or so, Turner would have added a significant number of performances to his 120 for the Bluebirds since his arrival from Coventry in 2011.

A good move all-round isn’t it?
