Sam Hammam has been absolute in his determination to get Koumas and is confident that he will get his man.

Mikele Leigertwood: Palace centre-back whose contract is soon to expire. Played in the premiership last year after moving from Wimbledon. Attracting interest from several Championship clubs and Palace are likely to offer a new deal, but with centre-back cover needed, Jones may be keen.

Ian Moore: Son of ex-Bluebird Ronnie Moore. An experienced frontman who provides more than he scores. Former Burnley and currently at Leeds, the big striker would most likely provide cover for Steve Thompson.

Mark Kennedy: Wolves left-sided midfielder interesting his former manager DJ. Very popular at Molineux and experienced at this level. Possibly a back-up should we fail to land Koumas??
