Cameron Jerome underlined his growing reputation by jumping 16 places in the Championship Actim Index.
The 19-year-old struck twice during the first half of his side’s 3-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday to help earn himself 0.52 points and move up to fifth position in the Index, the official ratings system for the Coca-Cola Championship.
His match score against the Owls also made it into the top 20 match scores for the 2005-2006 season so far – the third time Jerome has made it – with scores of 0.57 points against Stoke and 0.58 against Wolves already this campaign.
Leicester’s David Connolly has the top Championship score of the season with 0.73 points, followed by Sheffield Wednesday’s Chris Brunt on 0.71. Jerome could have even been a bit closer to them if he hadn’t been booked against Wednesday!
Also on the scoresheet at Hillsborough was Jerome’s Cardiff team-mate Jason Koumas. The Welsh international moved up to 19th on the Index with an impressive weekly haul of 0.37.
