Cardiff City have kept their cards close to their chest in the transfer market thus far, and deals for Tom Heaton and Miguel Comminges had been tied up before we even knew of interest!

As such, we headed over to Vital Swindon to get the views of an avid Robins fan who watched Comminges last season:

What’s his best position?

Left back. The player is very fast and pacy and his crossing is second to none. He was voted Swindon Town`s player of the season in the Swindon Advertiser/Swindon Town FC and by Vital Swindon Town visitors.

What type of player?

Fantastic quick player and you are getting a real gem, absolutely gutted to be losing him to be honest. He can play on the wing or at left or right back.

Any weaknesses?

None on the playing side at all? Has been a revelation, gutted he turned us down but then again the chance to play at a higher level couldn`t be ignored I suppose.

Will he cut it in the Championship? Without a doubt. He will be a top player in the Championship without a shadow of a doubt.

STFC fan’s thoughts on the player? We discovered him in France and he has used us to get a move to a club in a higher division. Would have liked for him to repay the loyalty we showed in him but there is no loyalty in football anymore. Fans booed him when presented with the player of the season award this year.

If he weren’t out of contract, how much would you have expected him to cost?

Not sure really? One would probably say £150,000 – £200,000. He has only played one season in England and in League One so he has not really built up any kind of consistency really, was he a brilliant player in a mediocre team, or is he genuinely a quality player who will go far?

Many thanks to Gary over at Vital Swindon for his answers, looks initially like a very good piece of business for City with Comminges competing with Tony Capaldi for the left back berth.
