Russell Slade has left Charlton less than six-months into his job at the Valley, leaving Cardiff in the summer after being replaced at the Bluebirds by Paul Trollope who has of course moved on with Neil Warnock now in charge at the Cardiff City Stadium.

A fair few changes have been seen at Cardiff in recent years so we’re hardly in a position to judge anyone but Slade becomes the sixth boss to leave Charlton since January 2015 with Slade leaving them after just five wins from the 21-matches played under him.

Slade’s record in League 1 had been impressive enough over the years so success was anticipated, which hasn’t been the case so after moving briefly into the Head of Football role with Cardiff he’s now after another job following this poor spell with Charlton.
