Shouldn’t Cardiff City Have A Stadium Name Yet ?

Cardiff City recently found out that the first competitive game in the new stadium will be on 7th August against Scunthorpe United. However, as yet – the new stadium is un-named!

As part of our loan re-structuring deal Langston own the naming rights up to £9m. However, in the current economic climate – it is proving difficult to attract companies to pay for such high money advertising.

St David’s Stadium was a previous suggestion though this will never be possible given the lack of earnings associated. Hopefully, Peter Ridsdale has beren working on this and we won’t end up with Costco, Asda or Tesco value adorning the impressive stadium.

We have to call it something, there’s only 7 weeks to go until kick-off….

i thought it was already called the cardiff city stadium. PR hasnt ruled out a rename at a later stage

Yep, thats the interim name – slightly worrying that no-one’s offering to sponsor though
