Cardiff City have offered a weeks trial to Brann Bergen midfielder Charlie Miller. The former Dundee player has been playing in Norway but is hoping to land a return back to Britain. Miller is club contracted to Brann until 2008 but would be allowed to leave for a fee of £50k after falling out with some of the Brann supporters.
Miller told the Norway media after a recent game that he had been offered a trial:
‘Naturally I hope to find myself a new club. I’m looking forward to the trial,’
‘I’m going to train with them for a few days then we’ll see what happens.’
An eccentric character on and off the field, Miller has struggled with stamina through his career and would probably be used as a squad player at Cardiff but given the depth of Cardiff’s wafer-thin squad – Miller could be an extremely useful acquisition.
