Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall has been included in the Scotland squad to face Czech Republic on 3 March in a home friendly match for the downbeat Scots.

This match will be the first in charge for new man Craig Levein after former boss George Burley met his end after a thrashing from Wales at the Cardiff City stadium.

Marshall is included in the squad, and will competer with former Cardiff City stopper Neil Alexander – currently at Rangers, and with regular no 1 Craig Gordon of Sunderland.

Marshall has been in good form for Cardiff City this season, and appears to have filled the gap we have carried for several seasons. He was on the bench for the desperately disappointing 2-0 defeat at home to Barnsley, he was suffering from illness and did not warm up with the squad but will be available for a re-call next Saturday.
