The BBC this week reports Idriss Saadi has suffered another injury setback, with his early Cardiff career not going at all according to plan!

Saadi was finally able to make his first-team debut for Cardiff when he came on for the final minutes in the win against Reading, which sent the Bluebirds into the international break in positive spirits, but he’ll now be sidelined by a torn hamstring.

Cardiff brought the unknown 23-year-old, former French U19 international who has also played for St Etienne, from French Second Division side Clermont Foot in August but various injury issues since his arrival prevented his debut until last weekend.

But he’ll now be out for around six-weeks.

However, as far as I’ve seen, the club haven’t actually confirmed this injury officially? Unless I’ve missed it, which is possible!

Despite this injury, the lack of attacking options and goalscorers at the Cardiff City Stadium, Alex Revell was allowed to leave Cardiff for a loan spell with Wigan until late January, which we know was confirmed on Wednesday.

With respect to the 32-year-old though he’ll offer about as much threat as the injured Saadi anyway if previous is anything to go by!
