Cardiff City’s teenage star Aaron Ramsey looks set to snub a move to his dream club Manchester United in preference to a switch to Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal.
The move is not good news for Dave Jones and Peter Ridsdale who openly encouraged a move to Manchester United, although the Arsenal deal will see us pick up more cash up-front.
Ramsey was not keen to immediately go out on loan and is likely to get more of a chance in the Gunners’ first team under Wenger’s strong youth policy. Another major factor for Rambo would be the presence in North London of friend and former Cardiff City team-mate Chris Gunter, now playing for arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
It seems we’ve seen the last of Aaaron Ramsey in a Bluebirds shirt. He has a big future, and it lies elsewhere. £5million is a great deal of money for a player with such little gametime and experience but we look forward to watching him flourish at the Emirates’ and for Wales.

should have joined united
Good luck to him .. unfortunately there’ll now be lots of clubs with the strikers we so desperately need who’ll be licking their lips at upping prices – the £5million won’t last long … why are we so agitated about our relatively piddly ‘large debt’ when Man Utd and Chelsea owe zillions?
outgoings versus incomings maybe?!?!
BAD MISTAKE RAMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It will all end in tears ……Does he speak any french?????
Perhaps Wenger has been looking up the word ‘quota’ in his barely used dictionary!
If he’s signed for Arsenal he would be better staying and learning from Wenger than going out on loan. I just cannot see him getting into the first team for a while. Just look how long it took Walcoot who still isn’t a regular.
