No Giggs For Cardiff City After Man Utd Extension

Cardiff City look certain to miss out on the signing of veteran Manchester United Star Ryan Giggs after Red Devils manager Alex Ferguson revealed he would be offering an extension to the Welshman.


At 35, Giggs struggles to play regularly for Manchester United, but is a quality player when he does take the field and has put more into the club than any other in living memory. He is a fantastic servant of United and is deserving of another year.


It was thought that Giggs would consider a move to hometown club Cardiff City to end his playing career with the Bluebirds. However, that only seemed a possibility if he were released from Manchester United. Dave Jones and Peter Ridsdale did discuss a potential move, but it appears Giggs will not be a Bluebird.
